Previous two papers showed the qualitative analytical method of various polymeric materials by pyrolysis gas chromatograph equipped with a Curie point pyrolyzer.
Many papers on quantitative determination of specific blended rubber vulcanizates by pyrolysis gas chromatography has already been published. But there is only few report on simultaneous quantitative and qualitative determination of various polymeric materials under the same condition.
So, this paper describes the extention of the previous qualitative method to quantitative determination of blended ratio of rubbers in vulcanizates containing SBR and discussion on its precision.
As a result, it was found that the blended ratio of a vulcanizate containing two kinds of rubber such as SBR/Butadiene Rubber(BR), SBR/Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber(NBR) and SBR/Natural Rubber(NR) can be determined with the precision of ±3%(3σ) on the entire blend range but the precision in the case of vulcanizates containing three kinds of rubber, that is, SBR, BR and NR is ±5%(3σ).
