    Dear fellows and friends, The International Biophilia Rehabilitation Conference (IBRC 2011) has reached to its 9th Edition - that will be held on 29-30th of September, in Warsaw, Poland. According to the international visibility and recognition of some endeavors of the actual Romanian Rehabilitation school of and representatives - especially in the field of NeuroRehabilitation, but not only - I have been honored by the invitation of the Founder and President of the International Biophilia Rehabilitation Academy, Prof. Taki Takizawa, from Japan, to participate to and to co-organize an International Workshop on Rehabilitation, to be held in Bucharest, Romania, on the 25th of September, 2011 - just previous to the onset of IBRC and comprising distinguished speakers, including with consistent activity within the Biophilia Academy and its international meetings.

    We chose Romania as the field work place by reason of well known as an anti-aging people's country and fascinated by the rows of houses which left the medieval image. We can hold the WORKSHOP, BIOPHILIA 2011, Bucharest in such a beautiful country, as a workshop of the 9th International Biophilia Rehabilitation Conference, in Warsaw, Poland (IBRC2001) by occasion of there is support of the Romanian Tourist Office - Tokyo, the Ministry for Regional Development and Tourism and cooperation of prominent professor, Prof. GELU ONOSE, MD, and PhD., Head of the M6 Chair, at the (State) University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", in Bucharest. We obtained the certificate of appreciation from the honorable Petre Stoian, Romania Charged' Affaires a.i. in Japan and the greeting letter from the honorable Natsuo Amemiya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Romania to hold this workshop.We deeply appreciate to and are proud of the ability to introduce to you both of them.

    International Biophilia Rehabilitation Academy President Taki TAKIZAWA Shigeo (Chair of the WORKSHOP "BIOPHILIA 2011") The International Biophilia Rehabilitation Academy holds the international conference in many countries, and contributes to the improvement of people's welfare through progress in rehabilitation medicine. The activity for the functional recovery of advanced-age disabled persons is appreciated by the governments of each country.

    This article describes the steps we should undertake to establish a sustainable super-aged society. The article consists of the following chapters:

    2. The motive, process and progress of the approach
    3. The reports on the established Takizawa Method and Motivative Exercise
    4. Present social structure of Japan and the world
    5. Features of the current rehabilitation medicine and medical treatment
    6. Our studies

    The research findings about the brain functional activation by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) are shown. It is concluded that a clear verification of brain functional improvement and the randomized controlled trial (RCT) of the current method of rehabilitation against the Takizawa method are necessary from now on.
