Japanese learners have difficulty in understanding sentences with relative pronoun, as there is no equivalent word in Japanese. We Japanese prefer premodification to postpositive adjective clause. I showed this difference visually. First, I tried to make students understand the sentence including relative pronoun visually, using braces and arrows. Then, I divided one sentence with relative pronoun into two sentences with no relative pronoun. Last, I connect two sentences to one sentence by using three rules. The rules consist of three-step procedures. Find the two identical contents, then replace each one of these contents, and finally move words group with regulations.
I aimed to contrive a new method to reach correct answers for everyone like a geometric formula.
It is necessary to understand pronominal declension fully to apply these procedures. I also present a failsafe system to make sure that the connection is valid.
