In this paper, we investigate the control system of the active filter to reduce the kVA rating of the PWM converter to the load capacity by using
L-
C Components. In the system, we apply the proposed new control scheme by selecting the appropriate voltage vector based on the instantaneous ripple line power which is useful for simplifing the control system and high efficient and high accurate operation.
In this paper, we show the system configuration, the control system and the design index about the
L-
C values, and then we examine the performances by some simulation analysis and we verify the feasibility of the control system from the experiments.
This combined system of the active filter are useful for the kVA rating reduction of the PWM converter in addition to the inherent excellent properties of the proposed control method.
