ジャーナル フリーTo shorten total trip time for passengers on railway transport, it is useful to operate rapid trains that stop or pass to local one at proper stations. To realize the operation, the stations have to be determined by proper method, because there are many combinations of the stations that are possible to realize on train diagrams.
In this paper, we propose a method to determine the stations used Genetic Algorithm. The gene code expresses the operation of the statement at the station, a chromosome means a train diagram on applied line.
We have applied the method for a real railway line, have gotten the possibility about 11% shorter total trip time than real train diagram and have gotten the near best solution in short computation.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (488K) -

ジャーナル フリーWe are developing a new high performance traction motor for railway vehicle using interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) and expecting it can reduce energy consumption. To estimate the losses and energy consumption of IPMSM, a simple motor model is needed. In this paper, We propose a simple equivalent circuit and loss model for IPMSM, the constants of which can be obtained from several simple test results. The calculation results using them show that the total loss of the IPMSM becomes about 60% of that of the induction motor when used as a traction motor for a typical commuter train.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (851K) -

ジャーナル フリーIn this paper, the concept of novel obstacle-detecting methods for railway level crossings, which are capable of detecting pedestrians and bicycles besides motorcars based on both the laser range scanner technologies and digital signal processing techniques, has been proposed. The mathematical models for pedestrian tracking by using Kalman filter have been investigated. The performances of both the obstacle detection and pedestrian- tracking algorithm have been verified through field tests at an operating level crossing. The obstacle-characterisation-based countermeasures against level crossing accidents have been discussed. ジャーナル フリーWe present algorithms for flexible seat distribution problems, which is defined as a problem to give an appropriate travel plan to each passenger after receiving their requests concerning their travel demands. Seat distribution problems occur when a flexible seat reservation system is implemented in which passengers are allowed to reserve seats by submitting their demands instead of specifying trains. To solve the seat distribution problem, we have formalized it as a winner determination problem of the combinatorial auction mechanism. It should be noted that difficulty of the seat distribution problem varies depending on instances of the problem, because the number of demands often varies and users' requests sometimes converge on particular trains. This suggests that in order to get solutions with high quality, algorithms that appropriately control the search space are indispensable. ジャーナル フリーThis paper covers the design and implementation of our context-aware passenger support system in which passengers are provided with location-based guidance throughout their travel itineraries. The system consists of itinerary-management server, route-choice support system, mail server, automatic fare collection gates located at railway stations, and cellular phones which are used as user terminals. Experimental operation of the system has been carried out in Tokyo. The questionnaire survey shows that the system is effective enough to be able to support novice passengers who use railways less frequently. ジャーナル フリーThis paper is aimed at providing the designing method of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control system for the high-speed and the single-phase AC powered Gauge Changing Train (GCT). The state-of-the-art electrical motive unit is equipped with downsized direct drive type PMSMs for the simplified gauge changeable truck. ジャーナル フリーIn this paper, the single-phase static VAR compensator (SVC) is applied to regulate and stabilize smoothly the generated output voltage of the single-phase self-excited induction generator (single-phase SEIG) driven by a variable-speed prime mover (VSPM) under the conditions of inductive load variations and prime mover speed changes. The conventional fixed gain PI controller-based feedback control scheme is employed to adjust the equivalent capacitance of the single-phase SVC composed of the fixed excitation capacitor (FC) in parallel with the thyristor switched capacitor (TSC) and the thyristor controlled reactor TCR. A PI closed-loop feedback voltage control scheme based on the SVC for the single-phase SEIG coupled by a VSPM prototype set-up is established. The closed-loop feedback output voltage responses in the single-phase SEIG coupled by a VSPM with different inductive load variations using the single-phase SVC with the PI controller are considered and discussed herein. Based on the SVC with the PI controller closed-loop feedback voltage regulation scheme, the experimental results for the single-phase SEIG driven by a VSPM are illustrated and proved its practical effectiveness in terms of the fast response and the high performances.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (681K) -

ジャーナル フリーIn a high output current DC-DC converter, most power dissipation comes from rectifying diodes. In this paper, a novel non-dissipative snubber is proposed for the rectifying diodes to reduce the power dissipation of the rectifying circuit. This snubber is applied to the center-tapped rectifying circuit in a full-bridge DC-DC converter. ジャーナル フリーIn this paper, we propose a Magnetic Energy Recovery Switch (MERS). The switch consists of four MOSFET elements and one capacitor. A power factor improvement is automatically possible regardless of the impedance and power frequency of the load by synchronized switching of MERS with a power supply. MERS itself generates voltage and compensates for the inductance voltage unlike a conventional series capacitor, so that another dc power supply is not needed. An experiment was carried out to demonstrate the automatic correction of the power factor. ジャーナル フリーThis paper describes an accurate contour control by a modified input data method for industrial mechatronic servo systems without adjustment of servo parameters. Adjustment of servo parameters is a tedious task to achieve high performance contour control in mechatronic servo systems. The modified input data method can realize adequately accurate contour control performance within considerably large tolerance in servo parameter errors. ジャーナル フリーThis paper proposed two types of the speed sensorless converters that can control the rotational speed and electric power. One is based on the slip frequency control system. Another is based on the vector control system. The rotational speed of the wind turbine is estimated with the phase voltage and phase current of the induction generator by the adaptive rotor flux observer. The estimated wind turbine rotational speed ωrest is used as the feedback of the speed control loop in the converter control system. Also the estimated rotor flux φ2dest is used for the vector control. The simulation results confirm that both of them have enough performance under the speed sensorless operation. ジャーナル フリーA 21-level (line-to-line) self-commutated BTB (Back-To-Back) system based on series connection of sixteen converter cells has attractive features as follows: i) Both active and reactive powers can be controlled independently even in transient states. ii) The BTB system produces almost sinusoidal voltage at the ac side without performing PWM (Pulth-Width-Modulation) control, so that no harmonic filter is required. iii) The BTB system provides an active power response as high as 3ms. This paper presents experimental verifications of the self-commutated BTB system intended for achieving power flow control in transmission systems. ジャーナル フリーIn this paper, a method for identifying individuals using facial image in the 3/4 view is proposed. In the proposed method, the grating pattern is projected on the face from the projecter in front of the face. The large range of one side of the face is obtained by the CCD camera which is set at an angle to the face. When we set the CCD camera like this, the effective information is able to be obtained from the large region of one side of the faces, the information of nose height which is one of three dimensional facial information and the cheek undulation which is part of the outline of their profiles.
