The authors are studying a generated power diagnostic method of a PV system. In order to establish the method,it is important to investigate many loss factors of a PV system. In this paper, generated power of PV modules of the different establishment assumption was measured through one year. And the empirical formulas related to irradiance and incident angle were evaluated for the installation condition and season. Generated power was estimated in consideration of the four disadvantage factors such as solar irradiance, incident angle, temperature, and series resistance. And it was examined a construction of criterion for evaluation to check power generation performance of a PV module. As the results,it was understood that the empirical formulas related to irradiance and incident angle were not dependent on the installation condition of a PV module and season. It was become clear that the power loss caused by four disadvantage factors mentioned above were included in generated power consistently. Furthermore,it was suggested that 95% value of the estimation generated power calculated in consideration of four disadvantage factors (“95% threshold”) was available as criterion of “generated power depression diagnosis“ of a PV module.
