The disinfection of waste medical devices by chlorhexidine was examined at 20-25℃ and the following results were obtained.1. The chlorhexidine adsorbed on cellulous and rubber medical devices, but not on metallic and plastic ones.2. The antibacterial activity was inactivated by Ca ^<2+>, Mg ^<2+>, serum and anticoagulants.3. For the disinfection of devices contaminated with body fluid, the 0.02% solution of chlorhexidine was effective. For the rerum, on the oter hand, it is necessary to immerse these devices in the 0.14% solution for one hour and for the urine, the 0.2% solution for 2 hours.
