It is ideal that the pain and the damage to the skin are little when pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes are removed from the skin. Therefore, with regard to such the manner of tape removal as peel rate, peel angle, and the effect of draw, which the skin was drawn in order to keep it is normal position when tapes were removed, dermal peeling force, the pain, and the damage to the skin(the amount of stripped corneocytes)were investigated in two adhesive tapes. With the increase of peel rate, the pain when tapes were removed and the amount of corneocytes were significantly increased. The difference of peel angle did not affect them. When the skin was drawn in order to keep it in normal position, the amount of corneocytes was not changed, but the pain was slightly decreased. As mentioned above, it was most important that the tape was removed from the skin as slowly as possible.
