    This paper presents the study of the broadband circular polarization antenna on a coplanar structure. The antenna has a slot at the edge of conductive layer on a glass substrate, connected with L-shape antenna element at the center of the slot. This paper describes the operation principle of circular polarized wave generation and the application to GPS. The proposed circular polarization principal has been confirmed by the good agreement between experimental and simulation result. The electric field to optical sensor is applied for the experiment to reduce the impact from the measurement coaxial cable.
