    The purpose of this study is to make a dialect guide book to utilize in the Nanbu region of Aomori. We analyzed the local dialect in Japanese by questionnaire to younger generations living in the Nanbu region of Aomori. In addition, we investigated whether the local dialect is listed in the dictionary of the dialects. We propose a dialect guide book for younger generations and educators living in the Nanbu region of Aomori. This dialect guide book introduces the actual situation of the use of the younger generation's dialects and the vocabulary of the dialect dictionaries to the younger generation living in the Nanbu region in Aomori.

  • A case of “Asa ni natta node mado wo akemasu yo”

    This paper is a study about discussion activities through translation of picture books for learning Japanese. In this study, I analyzed the discussion on translating the Japanese picture book “Asa ni natta node mado wo akemasu yo (You’ll open the window because it was hemp)” into Korean by Korean students who are majoring in Japanese.As a result, 20 items were discussed, of which 10 consensus was formed. And 2 out of the 10 cases where agreement was formed were new ideas created by discussion. In these discussion activities, students learn languages using their existing linguistic knowledge and imagination. Picture books are composed of simple words and picture, so learners can easily grasp the context or can share images with classmates. Such a feature of the picture books will enhance the quality of collaborative learning through the discussion activities.

  • Thinking about the New Business Japanese

    This study conducted research into problems with the Japanese targeting Chinese employees in Japanese companies. This was done through a questionnaire as well as interviews with Chinese employees. The specific contents are the issue of Japanese language ability among Chinese employees in Japanese companies and what language difficulties they faced. The results showed that there was conflict in areas other than business conversation that has traditionally been handled in textbooks in Japanese language education. These are mainly writing business documents such as e-mails or reports and professional terms in explanations or documents. It was discovered that, in actual business situations, Chinese employees have issues in different dimensions. In conclusion, based on these circumstances, teaching Japanese to Chinese employees was advocated.

    In this paper, we will not only consider the examples of dictionaries and textbooks. We still use the examples of corpus to clarify the meaning of Chinese “DUOSHAO” and usage. In addition, we compared the usage and meaning of Chinese “DUOSHAO” and Japanese “TASHOU” to understand the difference.

  • Focus on Japanese and Chinese enterprise name and brand name

    From a linguistic point of view, this research examines the translation issues of enterprise and brand's naming through objective data statistics. The research focuses on the issue of translating each other's brand names in Chinese and Japanese (Chinese-Japanese translation, Japanese-Chinese translation), and examines the characteristics of the intercultural communication of proper nouns. Moreover, the corporate enterprise name as a part of proper nouns is contrasted with that person's name and geographical names, then analyze the similarities and differences between translation of proper nouns and common nouns. Therefore, this research mainly has three parts, the first is the issues of translating enterprise name, the second is the similarities and differences between the translation of the name of the enterprise, person's names and Geographical name, the third is the translation of the proper nouns and the translation of the common nouns similarities and differences.

    This paper is concerned with the inheritance situation of language and culture between parents and children by means of questionnaire and interview survey to Chinese parents and children in Japan. The result revealed that the language inheritance is preferential than cultural one. In addition, the difference in the language and event in the family between Chinese and international marriage families was observed and the extent of a development of language had an influence on the establishment of identity. Hereafter, while the nationality of parents and roots diversifies, this survey is continued. To examine the diversity of children carefully, namely, to make the accuracy high is an issue in the future.
