Recently, in distance measurement, a high-speed measurement and a high precise measurement are demanded. But, in photo detector of conventional distance measurement, the coexisting of the high-speed measurement and the high precise measurement was difficult. In this paper, we propose a new photo detector which realize the coexisting of a high-speed measurement and a high precise measurement. And we propose the distance measurement equipment with it.
We have developed a 1.3 million-pixel (1280x1024) progressive-scan CCD image sensor for digital still cameras and PCs. It has a 2/3-inch optical format with 6.7um square pixels and 5 : 4 aspect ratio. This image sensor is able to perform progressive readout without using a mechanical shutter. Better reproduction of color is achieved by a primary color filter, and we have achieved high resistance to fading by employing pigment as the on-chip coloring material. We have also developed a timing generator suited for this CCD image sensor. Through the use of this timing generator, an external trigger is also introduced.
We have developed a High-resolution Random-access Camera (HRC) using a 4-M pixel Charge Modulation Device (CMD) image sensor. Two read out modes of the HRC enable real-time display of an entire image with normal resolution and real-time display of the block of interest with high resolution. Required time to change the modes or the observation area is 1/60 s. Also, two new FPN suppression methods are investigated. In both methods, FPN is reduced by subtracting the output signal just after the reset from the output signal. These methods will be useful for cost-effective, small size camera systems using active pixel sensors.
Quontum radiography technology was deveroped using CdTe-semiconductor radiation mesurement technologies. We have discrived the CdTe X-ray image senser, circuits, data processing phenomenon and it's application (bone densitometry, etc).
