We renewed IKOMA transmitting station that had transmitted a broadcasting wave for forty years. This construction was completed at the time of a year and 4th. In the new station, we prepared the space that digital TV broadcasting equipment will be put in the near future. This construction was very difficult, because we had to build a new transmission pyron after we scrapped a part of the old station. We report on the construction method and an outline of the equipment in this paper.

On May 20,1998 and Sep 9,1998,NHK Osaka Station simulcasted live shows of professional baseball games on BS-7 and BS-9,the former is a NTSC cannel and the latter Hi-Definition channel. At the location of baseball stadiam, we produced the show with Hi-Definition equipments, and transmitted it's 1125 signal to Osaka station via optical fiber drcult. In the sub control room in osaka staion, the 1125 signal is converted to 525 signal, Graphics inserted onto both 525 and 1125 pictures, and finally broadcasted simultaneously from Osaka BS sub-station.

BDPS was newly introduced in television Osaka because of the master equipment update in March, 1998. The system pursued efficiency improvement and the labor saving aiming at the centralized control of the broadcasting data. This BDPS networking connected CM information from EDPS and the broadcasting data from television Tokyo. The cuesheet and the program data are automatically made based on these data. Besides, various support systems were achieved by using the data base of program information.

Television Osaka Ltd. Has introduced TV Program Bank System based on non-linear video server in 1998 for TV master studio renewal. This system supports such functions as frame level editing, automatic program length check, editing during live recording in addition to video and audio stream storage/transfer, which leads to effective operation. This reports system structure and its effectiveness.

Television OSAKA introdused the Audio and Video Bank system adopting "level 5" RAID on renewal of Master control system. This system can memorize 12000 frames of picture with key signal and 10 hours of stereo sound. It can automatically arrange logotypes of companies taken to this system and can make still pictures expressing companies sponsoring TV program. This system has 2 lines of input and 6 lines of output because it is aiming to cope with multichannel broadcasting.

We TV-Osaka had newly-equipped News-Studio on March, 1998. Mainly, this studio is used to make up our evening news program, named "YUGATA ICHIBAN KANSAI", in everyday. Important things for making a design for this studio, are good space factors, good cost performances and enlargements for our future. In this condition, we had taken care, this system should be steady and easy for every operator.
