In this paper, we propose a method of constructing a multi-wavelength IR imager. The optical cavity structure has been used to improve the sensitivity of the IR imager for a long time. However, it can also be used as an on-chip interference filter. We developed two kinds of multi-wavelength IR imagers based on the 410K pixel PtSi IRCCD, which has been previously reported by us. The type A multi-wavelength IR imager is composed of three kinds of pixels. In the device, three kinds of pixels with defferent spectral responsivities are arranged in the form of a stripe in the vertical direction of the CCD. The type A device is used within the wavelength range of 3-5μm. The type B device is used within the wavelength range of 1.5-2.5μm

Since introducing the first EyeMark(EMR) product in 1965, the EMR has proved iteself to be one of NAC's most important product offerrings. This is the reason that, between 1965 and 1998, NAC has developed seven different versions of the EMR. Most recently, NAC has completed the development of the newest generation EyeMark product, the EMR-8. The EMR-8 is a very uniqe product. Using a measurement techniqe with near infrared, it can detect not only eyemovement but also pupil dilation (i.e.it can measure pupil diameter). The EMR-8 also measures blinking rate and the eye's convergence angle, using a pupil-cornea reflection method.

The photocurrent multiplication due to impact ionization was observed in the a-Si:H/a-SiC:H staircase photodiode. On the staircase photodiode with one band offset, the photocurrent was multiplied double and the multiplication gain of about 6 was also obtained on the staircase photodiode with 3 band offsets. It was confirmed that almost all electrons were multiplied after they crossed the band offset. To clarify the excess noise characteristic of the a-Si:H/a-SiC:H staircase photodiode film, shot noise characteristics of the phtodiode film with one and three linearly graded-gap region was investigated. The excess noise factor of the staircase photodiode is remained one even the photocurrent is multiplied. From these results, it is found that the a-Si:H/a-SiC:H staircase photodiode film with the graded-gap region is not generated extra noise during the photocurrent multiplication.
