The 8K DTV system will be the next generation digital terrestrial broadcasting in Japan. However, the 8K DTV system does not have enough frequency spectrum resources because of ISDB-T (Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting Terrestrial) system occupancy. This paper proposed an interference canceller using Layered Division Multiplexing (LDM) for both ISDB-T system and 8K DTV system. Since both ISDB-T system and 8K system has common information to be transmitted, the proposed system only uses partial LDM to lessen the effect of interference. BER performance shows that the partial LDM has less error compared to full LDM.
