This paper considers how we should reflect the needs of adults with ASD (autistic spectrum disorder) with regard to employment support, based on the results of a survey conducted on people with ASD eighteen-years-old or over. The purpose of the research are making use of people with ASD’s experience of receiving employment support and making employment support for people with ASD more effective. On employment support services, the results show that the contents of support they wished to receive differ between generations. They also showed adults with ASD wished to receive support that considers the diversity of people with ASD and build trust between supporters and themselves. Many of the subjects who are currently working work as office workers or light workers; one of them works in customer relations. About 60 % of the working subjects obtain assistance in their workplace, and they show that raising efficiency is the main effect of the support. On the other hand, a number of people answered that they can’t/ couldn’t solve their difficulties in their workplace due to reasons such as some of the people with ASD can’t request for advice or their colleagues’lack of understanding. The most frequent answers to a question asking when they feel challenges or pleasure in their job are “having a sense of accomplishment” or “without customer relations”. But one answered that he feels satisfaction when he works in customer relations. This survey also asked the subjects about their feelings towards their awareness of job. In their current job, especially People with ASD in their twenties tend to like their current job. Compared to their jobs in the past, the rate of people who hope to work in customer relations or to give younger colleagues guidance in their current job is increased. On the survey about their awareness of the characteristics of ASD, the subjects expressed their wish that their colleagues would learn about ASD in general and the individual characters of the subjects themselves. As we started above, two main points we need to consider when we reflect the needs of people with ASD with regard to employment support are apparent: ①Support which is specialized for people with ASD based on evaluation which we can compare common view of people with ASD with individual people with ASD, reflecting their diversity. ② Support which includes all employees whether they are people with ASD or not.
