Abstract
In this paper, the elastic wave properties in 3D piezoelectric/viscous liquid phononic crystals are investigated. Based on the plane wave expansion method, the stop band characteristics are discussed with the viscous liquid influences. From the results, it can be seen that not only some similar behaviors of stop bands for the conventional periodic systems can be found, but also other new and interesting phenomena exist in this new kind of piezoelectric/viscous fluid phononic crystals.
