For the fieldgeologist, "Unconformity" is one of the important object to survey. Especially, in the field of economic geology, it has come to be considered as the important oil trapper. However, unconformity has much variation of its scale and character. We propose the following definition of unconformity and it's classification because we wish to avoid the confusion and the obscurity on the practical treatment of unconformity. The definition: unconformity is a phenomenon that a group of strata is separated from another by a plane which shows interruption of sedimentation. And the plane is named as "Plane of unconformtiy". The classification: a. Classification by appearance 1. Clino-unconformity 2. Para-unconformity b. Classification by spacial extention 3. Regional unconformity 4. Partial unconformity 5. Local unconformity c. Classification by bio-stratigraphy 6. Bio-discontinuous unconformity 7. Bio-continuous unconformity 8. Bio-discontinuous conformity-like unconfomity All unconformity represent by the combination of these 8 classification. We add the classificationmark showing these combination.
The authors applied the high frequency current for breaking the crude petroleum emulsion and found that the best condition was obtained, when 200 l per 1k.w. of high frequency current treated with a little temperature increase, and the dehydrated oil and the water immediately separated out. It was accelerated by the selective temperature increase, and this was important as well the choice of the frequency, 5-8meg. cycle was profitable for the separation in this research.
