We developed long-term scenarios for reducing CO2 emission using CEAMAT. CEAMAT is a long-term energy analysis model for considering the effect of future automotive technologies and integrated approaches in the Japanese automotive sector. At first, we determined future automotive technology assumption and the demand of the automotive sector rom the IEEJ2050 model, open literature, and interviews of pertinent organizations. Next, we developed long-term scenarios for the Japanese automotive sector using CEAMAT. Finally, we determined integrated approaches that promoted eco-driving, improved traffic flow, and reduce CO2 emission. From these results, we demonstrated that it is necessary to popularize next generation automobiles and integrated approaches.
