We developed vibration test conditions for Power Spectrum Density (PSD) and test duration using three electric vehicles assuming travel on Japanese roads to validate the vibration test method of ISO 12405 for electric vehicles. Acceleration time series data were measured by driving on various roads at various velocities in vehicles with accelerometers installed. The data were then transformed into PSDs. The results indicate that PSDs of ISO 12405 were valid. However, the test duration of ISO 12405 for each axis was not validated. Because the test durations for X- and Y-axes were excessive, and that for the Z-axis was a bit short.

A preliminary experiment was carried out to grasp the effect of glaucoma on car driving. Three patients of glaucoma and three healthy people were took part in this study. Critical situations inducing particular traffic accidents were presented by using a driving simulator. Results of dynamic visual field indicate that there is a possibility that driver reaction time for a pedestrian could be delayed if the pedestrian overlaps the visual field defect area. A further study with increased in participants should be needed to consider relationships between driver reaction time and visual field loss.
