Used detached houses in Japan become valueless in 20-25 years since construction. This makes it difficult for the owners to have an incentive to maintain their own buildings. Although both public and private sectors have tried to lengthen the value of buildings, no decisive measures have been found yet. We consider a game of two buyers of used detached houses of the same quality. We regard evaluation of the economic life of the building at the time of purchase as a strategy and the capital gain at the time of sale as a payoff, and model the relation between the time period until buildings are sold and the gain. We study effective policies for lengthening the value of buildings.

It is necessary to be allowed to work remotely due to workstyle diversification and women's social advancement. It is allowed to work from home in some companies. And there are variety of application software for online conference. It is therefore going to drive new environment for remote-work.
On the other hand, it is said that there are less small talks in online than off-line conference in which all participants get together in one place. It seems to be disconnection between Socialization and Externalization. It is hence said that online conference is inferior to off-line conference in terms of knowledge creation force.
We are, in this paper, aiming at making sure obstructive factor and its countermeasure for knowledge creation in online conference, and create research strategy.

Why does Bitcoin attracts attention now? That's because using systems such as a block chain makes Bitcoin higher reliable. The number of altcoins and projects called Bitcoin 2.0 are now increasing as Bitcoin's system is easy to use and spreading its high reliability. We could have great hope for possibilities of Bitcoin 2.0 particularly some kind of bitcoins like Counterparty that uses Bitcoin as new ways and others like Ethereum that uses a unique block chain. In this report we consider reliability of Bitcoin and possibility of application to Bitcoin 2.0.

A shift of a social system may possibly be prevented by conflicts among participants with respect to cost allocations associated with the shift, even if the new system is much more beneficial than the present system. For instance, a shift of the pension system in Japan from pay-as-you-go system to funded system is not achieved partly because there is supposed to be a cost allocation conflict among generations. In this study, a cost allocation conflict associated with a social system shift is modeled as a normal-form game, and best responses of each player and equilibria are investigated. Conditions under which whole cost is allocated and the social system shift is achieved are examined.

How to model and forecast the volatility, which is the risk of financial assets, is one of the important issues in the financial institution management. Therefore, many prior studies have proposed various models reflected real financial markets. In this study, we attempt to apply the Recurrent Neural Network architecture (Simple RNN, LSTM, GRU) to modeling the volatility clustering and forecasting the future volatility. Using the Recurrent Neural Network architecture, there is a possibility that we could automatically capture structures of the conditional volatility, as ever we have designed manually. In comparison with the GARCH (1,1) model, we analysis a predictability for the conditional volatility.

This study investigates the influence of organizational slack, that is, surplus resources, and licensing-out of firms in the chemical industry on R&D capability. Organizational slack consists of absorbed slack measured by excessive cost, unabsorbed slack measured by excessive current assets, and potential slack measured by borrowing capacity. This study uses the panel data of firms in the chemical industry for?statistical?analysis. Results indicate that organizational slack and licensing-out?increase the?R&D expenditure and licensing-out improves the R&D capability of firms. It indicates that the firm can invest the revenue earned from the technological-out in R&D expenditure. Furthermore, firms can focus their resources on new technology that is suitable for their business.

Critical elements in the process of predicting business failures are selection of financial indicators and construction of a forecast model. Many traditional methods implement these two tasks separately, and do not guarantee the optimality on the whole process. This study uses the AdaBoost algorithm so that these two processes can be realized within a single coherent framework. Setting financial ratios generated from arbitrary two items in the time-series financial data as candidates of indicators, our proposed method selects the effective financial ratios and derives the discrimination function which can predict companies going bankrupt in a few years. Experimental results show that our method can distinguish failed firms from continuing ones with higher accuracy by using the proposed temporal financial ratios.

To evaluate enterprises,it is important to consider not only enterprise financial states but also enterprise strategies or those changes. In this article, we propose a method which extract the strategy words with differences among enterprises and changes in time sequence, based upon the stratified N-Gram method which is able to extract coined and proper words that are difficult to extract by morphological analysis. Proposed method supposes three appearance patterns of important strategy words as follows: (1) domain trend: spread to many enterprises in domain, (2) enterprise unique: appear in only one enterprise, (3) period specific: appear for a specific period. Then it extracts the strategic words with differences and changes, which fit any of three appearance patterns.

In dawning (1999 - 2002) of online securities trading service business, Matsui Securities Co., Ltd. had been having great advantages against other companies. After 2006, however, those advantages changed due to growth of other companies. In this article, we develop a dynamic model which are able to explain the causes of advantage changes and impacts which are affected by them. We developed the simulation model, by using systems dynamics methodology, which are able to demonstrate the impacts with considering three viewpoints as follows: (1) in two customer segments which have different dealing policy, (2) within the changes on business environment (fluctuations of deals volume as investment boom), (3) management policy (choice and focus on customer segment) each company took.

Recently, data mining methodologies, which computationally extract valuable information from huge data, have been applied to various areas. In this article, we try to extract companies and periods, which are presumed that they had been under characteristic business conditions (e.g. unique management policy), by identifying financial indicators that show characteristic behavior against other competitors for any period. We propose a method, which extract characteristic triplets of financial indicator, company and period by three evaluation criteria such as uniqueness of wave shape, uniqueness of variation, and uniqueness of level, from financial data as time sequences. Then we report the extracted results by the proposed method.

In IT systems development businesses as labor-intensive industries, acquisition of human resources is essential. It is difficult to adjust amount of human resources for ordered works in tempestuous change (e.g. Lehman Brothers' financial crisis) of demand, because of poor employment mobility in Japan. In this article, we develop a simulation model which can explain the financial impacts affected by human resources adjustment policies (emphasizing regular employments/subcontractors in shortage/excess). We developed the systems dynamics simulation model with considering four viewpoints as follows: (1) fluctuation of demand and amount of ordered works, (2) adjustment policies in shortage or excess, (3) decision on options adjusting human resources and amount of them according to those policies, (4) time lag of each option.

The purpose of this study is to explain how organizational contexts are created through phenomena that emerge from inter-personal relationships. I show the substantive theories that create a context within the organization, briefly described as follows:
    1. Interpersonal relationships and behavior will be formed by the institutional norms of the organization.
    2. A “person-to-person relationship" and its management will follow the institutional norms.
    3. Management that forms “person-to-person relationships" will also form a “cooperational relationship" within the group. Qualitative aspects of the “co-operational relationship" will depend on “person-to-person relationships."
    4. Organizational context will be formed by the behavior of the “co-operational relationship," which will be inherited by future generations and become institutionalized in the future organization.

We are faced with a problem to make use of knowledge from experiences in tsunami-stricken area in the Great Tohoku Japan Earthquake. This study examines knowledge formalisation and its problem with implementation through a perspective of knowledge-based management. The aim of knowledge formalisation is to put knowledge in order, clarify knowledge and to simplify knowledge transfer. Formalising knowledge leads to contribution in various areas without reference to the spatial limit.
This research deals with the problem of knowledge formalisation. Knowledge is not information. This paper examines how to formalise knowledge in consideration of traits of knowledge. Some principles for knowledge formalisation are made a study. In addition, difficulties will be pointed out about formalising tacit knowledge.

Vcn(g), one of the goal selection criteria in goal-oriented requirements engineering, has been proposed. Vcn(g) is a function defined on a preference matrix. In a preference matrix, only one stakeholder belonging to the same position must be set. However in fact, it is conceivable that there are stakeholders each of which has a different preference for a goal among them, even if they belongs to the same position. To resolve this problem, by three-dimensional extension of preference matrix, we extend preference matrix to make it possible to treat multiple stakeholders belonging to the same position, thereby, we define a novel goal selction criterion named Vcn3(g). Furthermore, in this paper, the result of an application experiment to a small goal graph of Vcn3(g) is described.

The essence of PBL is that it is learning by community form, and synchronization pressure etc. within the group and is expected to work effectively for learners. Academic-Social Cooperation based PBL is an attempt to introduce a "weak tie" by a third party to a learning community consisting of learners and teachers (tutors).
However, academic-Social Cooperation based PBL appear companies and other entities become community members.
Through research group, we conducted hearings, questionnaires, etc. on students, faculty members and on the social side who have PBL experience, and organized the expectations of mutual roles, expectations of PBL, etc. From there, it became clear that the need for "a strong learning community" is being constructed for weak ties to work.

We define the researchers with high centralities in the co-authorship networks as excellent researchers, then we propose a method to detect expected researchers by analyzing growth of the centralities in the course of time. In addition, we aim to clarify the characteristics of expected researchers by analyzing relationship between these researchers and their research fields and/or institutions they belong.

Therefore, it is difficult for the enterprise to take measures of goods in stock and the coupon distribution, etc. by thinking about the timing to come to a store and customer's needs. In the research of the past, characteristics of the region are not considered though the customer's segmentation was tried from the ID-POS data. And then, we tried to introduce concierge service providing advice, connection and teaching roles, and have found the effect of the lowering of psychological barriers to be hard to approach and knowledge one to ask for an undefined work. We can get the opportunities to eliminate all of communication barriers with more strengthening the mutual relationship to increase reliability.

We clarified the following two points about the success factors in Japanese crowdfunding by analyzing the data of the Japanese crowdfunding platform and comparing it with the research in the U.S. Firstly, as common points between Japan and the U.S., it is confirmed that the increase of target amount and duration were negatively associated with success rate, and the increase of publicity were positively associated. It is suggested that similar tendencies may exist in regions other than Japan and the U.S. Secondly, as differences between Japan and the U.S., it cannot be said that videos were positively associated in Japan despite existing research that videos were positively associated in U.S. It was suggested that utilizing videos is necessary in Japan.

The branding strategy, however, varies depending on the target markets, such as tourists or local residents.
