The pandemic of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has had various impacts on college and higher education. Our college implemented online classes, and prohibited students from attending college for the first 12 weeks starting from April 2020. We believe that utilizing the created digital teaching materials leads to individualized optimization of student-centered learning and provides teachers with more time and mental flexibility. In this study, we attempted blended teaching approach that incorporates face-to-face small-group practice and on-demand teaching materials into conventional classroom lecture subjects, and we report on its educational effectiveness.
