This study examined the intermediate assessment methods for health guidance. A comparison was made between intermediate assessments conducted via email and face-to-face meetings, revealing no significant differences in changes
in waist circumference and body weight. As part of the measures taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, email support has increased, and it may continue to be considered as an effective method in the future.
This study indicates that prior weight loss experiences affect the effectiveness of specific health guidance. It involved 103 participants and examined the impact of past weight loss experiences and support categories on body weight changes. Individuals with previous weight loss experiences tend to achieve better results and display higher self-motivation. Notably, those receiving motivational support had a higher prevalence of weight loss experiences, highlighting
their intrinsic motivation. This highlights the importance of customizing support strategies based on an individual's motivation and past experiences in specific health guidance.
