61, 379-382, (1953)), the present authors reported in the present report the results of the comparative studies by the (a) microscopic, (b) X-rays and (c) heavy liquid separation methods, on the mineral compositions of special alumina cement products, prepared by both ordinally electrical fusing and special sintering methods. The raw materials are (1) special alumina residue from reclaiming process of scrap aluminum and (2) aluminous shale or so-called diaspore clay.
