The vanadium attacks on Ni-Cr-base alloys and some practical heat-resisting alloys in V
2O
5-Na
2⋅SO
4 mixture were studied. The following results were obtained. (1) Molybdenum addition increased the vanadium attack of Ni-Cr and Ni-Cr-Co alloys. (2) Aluminum addition decreased the effect of molybdenum on the vanadium attack of Ni-Cr-Mo alloys. (3) Other elements, such as iron, cobalt, titanium, niobium and tungsten had no appreciable effect. (4) Among practical heatresisting alloys containing molybdenum, the vanadium attack was the highest on Fe-base alloy, and the lowest on Ni-base alloy. (5) Na
2⋅SO
4 addition up to about 25mol% in V
2O
5-Na
2SO
4 increased the vanadium attack of M 252 and Timken 16-25-6. Na
2SO
4 was more effective on M 252 than on Timken 16-25-6.
