Tc cuprate superconducting films, such as REBa
2Cu
3O
7-x (RE=Y, Sm, Gd), REBa
2Cu
4O
8 (RE=Y, Yb),(Hg, Re)Ba
2CaCu
2O
6+x, (Hg, Re)Ba
2Ca
2Cu
3O
8+x, Bi
2Sr
2CaCu
2O
8 and Bi
2Sr
2Ca
2Cu
3O
10, have been studied based on “atomic level control” including lattice strain control, carrier control, and nanostructure control, in order to simultaneously improve critical temperature
Tc, irreversibility field
Birr, and critical current density
Jc of the films. We successfully fabricated high-performance cuprate superconducting films with higher
Tc,
Birr, and
Jc on IBAD-MgO substrates.
