The purpose of this paper is to examine the meaning of "High school entrance guidance for students and parents whose native language is not Japanese which is held in Nagano prefecture. Nagano has many students from abroad and they study with Japanese students. Japanese schools today are becoming more and more international. Many children are South-Americans, who came because their family came to Japan to work. These children experience difficulties taking high school entrance exam for high school. The parents also have difficulties understanding Japanese school system. This guidance with translators is provided in an attempt to solve these problems. This guidance has influenced junior high school students and their parents whose native language is not Japanese. They could be motivated by understanding how important it is to graduate from high school in Japan. On the other hand, the system of exam for students from abroad still have many problems to solve.
