    The morphology of mitochondria of oncocytes was investigated in eleven patients with Wartin's tumor, one patient with oncocytic microcystic papillary adenoma and two patients with nasal gland oncocyte.
    Some specimens were serially examined for 3-dimensional reconstruction.
    It was found cup-shaped and concentric rings of mitochon d ria in resulted from invagination and that aberrant cristae such as sheaves, vesicular, myelin-like, finger-print-like arrangement and amorphous matrix were derived from the same structure (straight of curved laminated crista with vesicular structure). Most mitochondria had a gravel-like structure.
