Formerly the author showed the formula fo rthe emf induced by radiation flux incident on a thermal detector from a reflecting mirro and a chopper of 2 sectors and discussed about the waveform and its fundamental of the emf depending upon the position of the chopper and the time constant of the detector on the JIEE of Japan (vol.80, No.861, June 1960).
In this paper, the general formula for the emf in case the chopper has N sectors, is introduced, as the emf depends upon the number of sectors as well as the above various factors and its waveform is proved to become sinusoidal by selecting the position of the chopper cutting directly the incident radiation in the special case N=2.
These results have been experimentally confirmed to be correct.
