Automatic measuring system of light distribution is composed of photo-detector, amplifier, analogue recorder and A-D converter with their own time constant.
As the measured waveform is distorted and phase shifted as compared with original light distribution, it is possible that some errors may occur in measured values.
Supposing the relations between input and output signals of photo-metric system can be approximated by a linear differential equation of first order, the authors make it clear how the output waveforms are distorted and phase shifted, if the light source has simple geometrical distribution curve (light sources of straight line type, plane type and hemi-spherical type).
Also, the error of light distribution and total flux integration depending on the relation of time con-stants of photometric system and rotating speed of photo-detector is estimated.
