This short exposition on industrial cybernetic is to briefly discuss the philosophy of industrial organization as reagard to the communication and control from the viewpoint of cybernetic principles and general system theory. As the study has only started, there are much to be done for exploring this discipline. However, as general recognition seems to be not enough, it is here dealt with as general introduction. The term industrial cybernetic has been followed after Stafford Beer (UK).

Eight learning principles concerning manual operation are proposed. Some principles have the corollaries. The learning principles are recognizes by experimentations empirical data, actual results and past records. It is possible to elevate the manual operation in question to the much higher productivity state adopting these principles.

Basic concepts and techniques for capital investment decisions considering price change (inflation) are discussed. A After three kinds of measurements - nominal, real and basic values - are clarified, basic principles for applying them to practical investment problems are presented. Then criteria for capital replacement decisions and for profitability comparison between projects with different lives are discussed taking inflation into consideration.

A heuristic synthesis method in a class of system by using Fuzzy Automaton is proposed. In order to realize the method, a computational algorithm is given on the basis a simple learning system. Further, a necessary condition for the convergence of algorithm is given with respect to the fuzzy transition matrix and the initial condition of system. An example is illustrated to show how the proposed method works.

In this paper, we propose that stock-turn-over under the assumption of ordering point system is available as a measure of stratification between a group of the items in the production-to-order system and the other group of the items in the production-to-stock systam in the case that what items should be changed from the production-to-order system to the production-to-stock system in a factory where many items of catalogued product are manufactured under the production-to-order system.

Marketing has enlarged its function through the process of adapting itself so social environment and creating a new environment. And by that marketing has improved our life materially and has promoted economic growth. But the other hand, it exerts various bad influence upon society. In this article, we take up two social contradictory phenomena; namely, non-correspondence of products with consumer needs, and discordance between the activity of the mass consumption society and natural environment. We understand that these phenomena are reflection of the profile of technology constitution which realizes the products, and we examine how marketing relates to forming that constitution.

Overseas operations in such industries as automotive or electric appliance manufacturing usually start from export of completed products and then proceed to CKD assembly followed by the final stage, or localization of parts manufacturing. Recently, governments of developing countries are trying to put more pressure on CKD assemblers to localize the parts by establishing "minimum local content ratio". This research focuses on two major problems, or "selection of localized parts" and "product mix", which assemblers have to face in adaptation programs. This paper describes the basic structure and characteristics of the problems and reports some findings on the first problem.

In this papaer, two preventive maintenance policies, namely, Policy [I] and Policy[II], are proposed for a series system composed of the two subsystems from which the critical and minor failures occur respectively. In Policy[I], the preventive maintenance for the critical failure and the corrective maintenance for the minor one are taken separately. In Policy[II], the preventive maintenance for the critical failure is executed together with the k-th corrective maintenance of the minor one counting from the last maintenance for the critical one. The existence of the optimal solution in Policy[I]and the approximate solution in Policy[II]are presented. The results of the numerical analyses show that Policy[II]considering the scaleeconomy is better than Policy[I]in some circumstances.

This acticle describes the measuring methods developments for clerical personnel number required in the Parallel-independent-type office. The methods use the input and output time intervals relations of clerical unit to and from the office, i.e. forms and reports. Because of the arrival and the service distributions and the models of the offices are complicated, it is difficult to use the conventional methods of the determinism and of the probability theory used for measuring clerical personnel numbers required in the office. Therefore, the new measuring methodds have been developed by this article for this purpose based author's new theories that had been described on a JIMA bulletin, and the new measuring methods have proved that they can be practically used by the probability theory and by the computer simulations.

A probabilistic dispatching method has been presented as an approximate solution of Static Scheduling Problem[4] . It is impossible to apply this method to the conventional model of Dynamic Scheduling Problem, for the arrival time of job is given as a random variable. The arrival time of each job, however, is often given individually before the scheduling is performed according to the production planning. In this paper, the probabilistic dispatching method is applied to a new Dynamic Scheduling Problem, consequently the effects and the problems in the application are shown.
