This paper describes the optical fiber communication system which is installed on a schoolship“Shioji Maru”of Tokyo University of Marcantile Marine. The system is a time-division multiplex the ports of which are distributedover a single transmission carrier consisting of a fiber cable which is arranged in a closed loop. This is a system ofexceptional flexibility, easy to install and designed to give a major saving on cables. It is of uniform design, lendsitself perfectly to use with modular system terminals and incorporates a very advanced test facility; all these factorsgreatly facilitate maintenance.

The subjest equipment has been developed for seamen's training in response to learn the high level techniquefor the highly modernized ship which increased recently.
The process values of diesel plant for the equipment has been simulated based on energy's flow on full containership“JAPAN ALLIANCE”, so that trainees would feel to be in the real engine control room.
In this paper, the outline of the simulator is introduced.
