Various crimes have been decreasing but many people feel uneasy about public safety. Especially, they feel uneasy about crimes against children. The purpose of this study is to research relationships between crimes committed against children and urban space characteristics by using spatial analysis methods such as Kernel density estimation and space syntax theory. The following results were obtained. 1) The hotspot of crimes committed against children moves as year proceed. 2) Crimes committed against children occur easily in roads where centeredness is high and near schools. Besides, it can be said that it is necessary to do comparison analysis using data of many years in order to know the pattern crime occurrence in urban space.
We discuss the method for utilizing information system and personal information of residents in preparation for their safety confirmation at the time of disaster. In disaster time, we should work for emergency something without public servant's help. One of important works is a safety confirmation for inhabitant by themselves. We propose to using similar information system to local event in regular. Actually we introduced both emergency system and event system in local community. The result to keep using information system in local community, they could do safety confirmation quickly by themselves by using information system. It's result to using similar information system from the usual. We made the circumstance that inhabitants can manage safety confirmation only by themselves.
In the survey of district-based vulnerability to earthquake disaster performed by the bureau of urban development, Tokyo Metropolitan Government in 2008, the site amplifications were defined for 10 soil classes. The bureau of urban development revised the soil classes in 2011 and the number of soil classes is 12 at this moment. Therefore, the site amplifications with respect to the soil classes are also reevaluated in Tokyo Metropolis. In this study, the site amplification characteristics in Tokyo Metropolis are evaluated using the recent seismic records observed in SUPREME network and the spatial geomorphologic dataset developed by Wakamatsu et al. and that by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd.
Seismic Retrofitting Promotion Law was revised in 2006, which was founded in government subsidies. But housing does not meet seismic codes enforced in 1981, they might be still using a lot in the future. Therefore, we conducted questionnaire surveys of construction companies located in Ishikawa Prefecture and citizens living in Kanazawa City. The results of surveys show that many construction companies are not in favor of simple method of seismic retrofit, they have not been much publicity for it, and that the citizens want a higher earthquake resistant performance than that recommended by the government. Real Estate Information Network will be promoted by increasing the incoming persons from outside the district, it is necessary to improve community disaster.
