The purposes of this study were to analyze the actual situation in rural areas from the viewpoint of the community comprehensive care system and clarify how the professionals working in the community should collaborate. Interviews with professionals were transcribed verbatim, and text mining (KH Coder 3 for Windows) was used to analyze the extracted words and phrases and their correspondence to clarify actual situations that are not functioning well in the community comprehensive care system. The results revealed that it is difficult to maintain medical, nursing, and welfare services due to long travel distances, difficulties in securing transportation means, and shortages of visiting nurse and care manager staff. These realities are contrary to the philosophy of a comprehensive community care system, hinder the collaborative cooperation of professionals who provide the limited medical and nursing care services, and highlight the lack of public assistance functions. In an aging society with a declining population, there is an urgent need to reinforce public assistance functions, such as professional collaboration, which are in short supply, by introducing the Internet of things and other technologies.
