Desmodium vidalii H. Ohashi (Leguminosae tribe Desmodieae), endemic to Laos, was previously in subgenus Podocarpium, but is here transferred to the genus Grona based on morphological characteristics. A new combination, G. vidalii (H. Ohashi) H. Ohashi & K. Ohashi, is proposed. Distribution records of Desmodium in Indochina (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam) are tabulated with names under current systems of Desmodieae. These taxa are newly reclassified into 14 genera and 42 species comprising nine genera and 17 species in Cambodia; 13 and 32 in Laos; 13 and 33 in Thailand; and 12 and 29 in Vietnam, respectively.
This is a part 13 of the list of type specimens and original materials of taxa described by Siebold and Zuccarini from Japan. It concerns the taxa of the families of Monocotyledoneae from Alismataceae through Liliaceae according to the system of Melchior (1964). Six lectotypes are designated. Lectotype of a Thunberg name, Lilium speciosum, is also designated. A new combination, Lilium speciosum Thunb. f. tametomo (Siebold & Zucc.) H. Ohba & S. Akiyama, is proposed.
A new species, Kaempferia kamolwaniae Picheans., Meechonk. & Wongsuwan (Zingiberaceae), from northern Thailand is described and illustrated. Distinction from the closely related K. rotunda L. is indicated.
The lectotype is designated for Justicia anfractuosa C. B. Clarke (Acanthaceae), a rare endemic species from Northeast India.
Three orchid species, Ania penangiana (Hook. f.) Summerh., Neottia longicaulis (King & Pantl.) Szlach., and Odontochilus elwesii C. B. Clarke ex Hook. f. (Orchidaceae) are newly reported from Nepal. Diagnostic characters, distribution notes, and a photograph are provided for each taxon.
Lysionotus gamosepalus W. T. Wang var. gamosepalus (Gesneriaceae) is reported for the first time from India.
During the course of expeditions to Myanmar, we found two new specific records of Leguminosae for Flora of Myanmar, Dalbergia curtisii Prain and Indigofera reticulata Franch. The morphological features, ecological notes and photos of the two species are provided in this paper.
Disepalum plagioneurum (Diels) D. M. Johnson (Annonaceae) is reported as a new record for Laos. Description and illustration are provided.
Arisaema heterophyllum Blume (Araceae) was found in Yazu-gun, Tottori Pref., western Japan. This is the first report with voucher specimen for this species from Tottori Pref.
