There are two types of companies which recognize IT as a core technology creating competitive advantage or not. The Enablers of business change using IT should be different according as these IT roles. This is the issue of this research. This research shows Peters 7S can be a model of the enablers for general business change, compares 7S with the enablers for creating business value by IT in COBIT5, and defines the enablers for business change using IT. COBIT5 is a framework of IT management published by ISACA in 2012. This research compares two types of companies and shows which enablers have effect on performing business changes and creating results of changes, in the case of renewing business strategy or not. by the original survey of Japanese companies.
The bootleg creates important management information because it is one way to lead technical innovation. In this case study, the method of practice that pushes forward bootleg smoothly is investigated by using of Emergent Business Field Research based on internal measurement as a novel research method. A practice of first author who does bootleg in a company A is analyzed by the concept of community of practice, relevance theory and “Katari=Antenarrative” theory. The following two points were elucidated: (1) “Failure” will transform to “success” that leads next chance of bootleg, (2) “Consciousness of the contribution to the organization” leads members who belong to official community of practice to share semantics that affirms the bootlegging. These may become the methodology not to eliminate the chances of innovation.
