We have been doing research of DSS(Decision Support Systems) from its development to its applications. Although it is widely accepted that DSS can be a powerful tool to improve the productivity in offices, it is also pointed out that it is not fully used. What we are currently most concerned with is why it is so. In order to find a break through for this difficulty, we investigate MMS(Model Management System) in this paper. MMS has at least two specific problems. One is that the UI(User Interface) for model building is not so effective. And the other is that although marry analysis tools for models are available, they cannot be linked with models flexibly in real time so that analysis cm be accomplished satisfactorily.

In this paper we propose a MIA(Model Integration Approach) as a methodology for MMS and discuss how it is realized with help of GUI(Graphical User Interface).

In this paper we analyze a scenario of network oriented change of the industrial structure from consumer side to producer side. We recognize manufactured goods as physical realization of the design of functional objects. We pay attention to the production flow form designing, production of its parts, assembling, quality test to consumption. We analyze the scenario on which a consumer has an initiative of the processes. We make a sketch of the new industrial structure from the analogy of existing two different industries such as software industry and industrial agglomeration of small and medium size companies.

Virtual Reality Technology allows us to experience a virtual world as if it were real. Decision support systems capitalizing on this technology would be useful to support decision making based on evaluation of objects. While these systems serve the objectives, it is not clear that what effects the systems have to the user, the organization, and the decision environment. This paper proposes evaluation criteria taking into account effects in these three directions.

In order to verify the effectiveness of the criteria, they were applied to evaluation of a VRT-based DSS for prospective buyers of a system kitchen. Results show that they are useful in pointing out strong and weak point of the system.

TThis paper proposes and describes an approach we developed to tackle a complex problem of redesigning a relatively small public organization in Indonesia. We devised the approach essentially based on Soft Systems Methodology (SSM), i.e., we developed it by replacing the standard-debate procedure of SSM by 'indirect debate' as well as taking into account descriptive cultural analysis, since in our case cultural influence impact on the management was very strong. The findings of the study have produced success in the organizational redesign, leading to 'culturally feasible and desirable' changes in the atmosphere of the organization. We believe that the issues discussed in this paper are not limited to Indonesia and our methodology could also be applicable to quite a large range of problematic situations with a similar cultural environment to Indonesia.
