ジャーナル フリー持続的スポーツ訓練を受けた運動選手が訓練を受けない対照群に比較して, 筋労作を伴う精神的肉体的機能の変動がどのように現われるかを解析しようとして次の如き実験を試みた。
よくトレーニングを積んだ運動選手5名とそうでない対照者5名に自転車エルゴメーターを用いて, 60・90・ 120・150・180・240ワット, 毎分50回転の負荷を10分間与え, 負荷前及び負荷終了5分後に集中維持機能 (TAF) を, 負荷前安静時5分間, 負荷中, 負荷終了後検査が終わるまで連続的にハートレート (PIP) を測定した。
その結果: 1) 脈搏数は安静時, 労作時, 回復時ともに対照群が運動選手より有意に多かった。2) 筋労作に伴う集中維持機能の低下も対照群の方が運動選手より早い段階で現われた。3) 労作時脈搏とTAF-Lとの間に負の相関が認められ, 相関の度合は運動選手の方が有意に高かった。抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (512K) -

ジャーナル フリーAudiometrically normal, male students were exposed to Impact Noises by tapping machines (B duration, ca. 300msec) for 40 minutes and the following results were obtained.
1) Sound level of Impact Noises (10pulses/sec) were measured using a sound level meter which was set at the “slow”. It was 95dB. (all pass)
TTS growth (Test Frequency 4kHz) due to Impact Noises were not significantly greater than due to steady-state Noises. (95dB (all pass))
2) In the exposure to Impact Noise (1pulse/4sec), TTS growths of 125dB at the peak values were significantly greater than that of 120dB at the peak values at the both 1kHz and 4kHz.
From these results it is permissable to measure the sound level of impact noise (10pulses/sec, or more pulses per second) for the evaluation of harmfulness using the sound level meter. ジャーナル フリーTo analyze the mental process of “aging”, Rorschach-test and WAIS were administered, twice over an interval of one year, to 59 persons all over 65 years of age.
Eight patients had psychiatric episodes and appeared older than their age, and 51 were control subjects, apparently healthy.
The results indicate that images of contents of the Rorschach test were preserved regardless of aging or episodes, although the connection with certain Rorschach cards had a tendency to be lost, and that the pattern suggesting organic changes in the brain became more manifest in WAIS. The symptoms of mental aging were mainly attributable to disorientation in time and space, which reduced the ability of the patient to connect images systematically with actual time and space.
Quick-temperedness and maudline character of the elderly, for example may be explained as an orientation dysfunction to control the emotions in accordance with actual situations, while the psychic apparatus and the motives to evoke emotion are preserved.
It is noteworthy that these symptoms resemble Semantic Aphasia.
Rapid aging observed after psychological conflicts e. g. social maladaptation or physical disorders (e.g. Thigh bone fracture). These may also be a reflection of disorientation such as was seen with patients described herein.
Treatment of disorientation, by means of systematized reorganization images through social acceptance, support and encouragement is therefore the key to mental hygiene of the aged including preservation of psychological functions, which will protect them from Personal reference, Ideaperserveration fine details, Ambiguities in the blot choice as characterized in the proceeding report.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (2323K) -

ジャーナル フリーIn order to clarify the actual state of city noise and community's reaction to same, measurement of noise on the streets at 134 places and the statistical investigation into the reaction of the questionnarie method were performed in Saga City.
Results are summarized as follows:
1) The magnitude of mean noise levels of each area classified by road type and arranged in a decreasing order, is as follows.
National>prefectural>municipal and private roads.
2) The magnitude of mean noise levels of each area classified according to the actual condition of the vicinity of 134 places and arranged in decreasing order, was as follows.
Commercial>industrial>and residential districts.

ジャーナル フリーIn the present study, farm products, animal fat, cow and human milk as well as human tissues were collected and investigation of contamination by organochlorine pesticides was done by means of gas chromatography. BHC and DDT residues were found to be widely distributed. As the pesticides were observed in animal tissues more than in farm products an accumulation was noted in animal tissues. Pesticide concentrations among the animals varied presumably due to concentration differences among the different fodders. It is reasonably observed that pesticides remain longer in human tissues as the human diet includes animal tissue which has been previously contaminated by the pesticides.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (575K) -

ジャーナル フリーThe problem of over-medication has often been called to account in Japan. Applying this to surgery, 3, 786 cases of appendectomy which were performed of a 25 year period were investigated at a certain hospital in a local city. Incidence of appendectomy among the inhabitants of that city was also studied. There has been an unusual increase in appendectomy surgery, especially in non-inflammatory cases, i.e. “catarrhal appendicitis” since about 1950.
