In this study, we analyzed the B-type center which played a leading role in the welfare services involving especially communities in the handicapped person welfare center,with special reference to the regional welfare services in the current state. The business of B-type center was compared with the A-type center and the day service center, where the regional roles of them were akin to that of the B-type center. As a result, no adequate originality was observed in the contents of business of the B-type center, in spite of the staff arrangement with a lot of occupational categories of the medical treatment system. The results suggest that we have to think about occupational categories of the medical treatment system according to the B-type center, as well as the characteristics as the community base,by joining the field of the community-based rehabilitation and visit nursing in the future.

Knowledge of hip joint force is indispensable for orthopedic treatment and physical therapy for patients with hip joint osteoarthritis. In this research, changes of hip joint forces in the cases of Trendelenburg's phenomenon and Duchenne's phenomenon were studied. The resulting values for one foot standing both with or without canes were compared and analyzed. Pauwels model was used in the calculation hip joint forces. Pauwels didn't take into consideration the center of mass movement during postural change. In this research, changes in mass centers measured by using the three-dimensional motion analysis system. These measurements were then used to calculated the hip joint forces. As a result, the hip joint forces during one foot standing cases of Trendelenburg's phenomenon, Duchenne's phenomenon and with canes maximum of load were 2.97, 3.10, 1.17 and 0.58 times the body weight, respectively. These results suggest that trunk lateral bending relieves hip joint forces in one foot standing and using of cane is effective in for hip joint forces reduction. The hip joint force measurements in this research were consistent with the past study of direct in vivo hip pressure. Itis suggested that the hip joint forces could be calculated accurately by indirect mass center measurements.

In stereotactic irradiation using linear accelerator, lateral electron equilibrium must be considered for small field. The dosimetry has some problems, for example, the accuracy of measurement depends on detector volume. The dosimetry of small field has been performed in the axis direction (chamber stem parallel to the beam axis) of reference ionization chamber. However, this method has some problems which are a stem effect, an effective measuring center and so on. Measurements were performed using 6 MV x-ray beam (Mitsubishi ML-6M LINAC) to a water phantom. A small volume parallel-plate ionization chamber was used in this study. The effective point of measurement was on the inner face of the front surface, the chamber was pointing axis direction. In this position, the effect of the irradiated cable has been considered because the part of a cable was inside the field. We studied the stem effect of ionization chamber. As a result, dose evaluation was not influenced by the stem effect due to the length of a cable.
