    In this paper, we extract relevant factors to sales of Michi-no-eki, and estimate sales from each factor. As factors that are considered to be relevant to sales of Michi-no-eki, we pick up facility area (whole), facility area (sales office), number of parking units, traffic volume, number of items (sales office), overall project cost, and municipal population. By correlating these factors and sales, we find factors that are related to sales. And, we perform multiple regression analysis to estimate sales from these factors, and verify the performance of multiple regression equations for each factor. In addition, we execute a correlation analysis between sales and the existence of facilities and services. In this study, we pick up 128 Michi-no-eki in Kyushu region.

    We proposed a non-photorealistic rendering method for generating moire-hatching images from photographic images. Our method generates moire-hatching images by an iterative process using linear regression analysis and Laplacian filter. Our method has characteristics that the hatching and moire patterns can be automatically generated in accordance with the shading and the edge of photographic images and that photographic images can be recognized by the edge. To validate the effectiveness of our method, we apply our method to several photographic images and confirm the visual effects of moire-hatching images.

    This paper describes the design and evaluation of low-cost and lightweight robot arm. We attempted to design the robot arm utilizing digital fabrication. As an input interface, myoelectric potential sensor was introduced. The usability of this developed robot arm is evaluated by actual behavior of this robot arm and questionnaires, and the result of evaluation show that the error of the distance between target point and controlled point is about 30 [mm]. On the other hand, it is found that the operating time takes a lot of time, approximately from 200 [sec] to 300 [sec]. These show that it is needed to improve the input interface and usability.

    The system reducing the burden for farmers is important because farmers are aging. In the agricultural field, the burden is reducing to spray pesticides utilizing by Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and to collect environmental information utilizing Field Server connected by Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Thus, we propose the system to measure agro-environment with the UAV and the Field Server. The Field Server can collect environmental information such as temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. Also, the Field Server has the battery which can charge by the solar panel, and it can use without infrastructure improvement. The UAV attached a node which collects environmental information by communicating with the Field Server. The Node uses 920MHz to communicate the Field Server to avoid interference with the UAV communication frequency. In addition, environment information collected by the Node can be displayed on Google map using the script created with Python. It is possible to display on the Google Map the latest environmental information collected by the Field Server and the trajectory of the UAV flight. In this paper, proposed system confirmed usefulness from the actual agricultural field experiment.

    In current times, the importance of online hotel review sites has become more and more apparent. Users of these sites reference of reviews strongly influences their purchase behavior and as such, reviews are important to companies and researchers alike. The majority of review sites offer both text reviews and numerical hotel ratings, and both information sources are widely used by researchers as a representation of a customer's sentiment and opinion. However, an opinion is a difficult concept to measure, and as such, depending on the relation these two sources have, it would be apparent whether or not it is safe to consider them equally in research. In this study we utilize an entropy-based Support Vector Machine to classify positive and negative sentiments in hotel reviews from the site Ctrip, then calculating the ratio of positive and negative sentiment in each review and examine their correlation with said review's rating score using Spearman and Kendall Correlation coefficients and Maximal Information Coefficient (MIC).

    Recently, many systems using ElectroRheological (ER) fluid have been proposed such as damper, actuator, touch panel, and so on. This paper develops an adjustable liquid timer using ER suspension. The proposed liquid timer demonstrates a capacity to change the falling time. This paper evaluates the proposed liquid timer on electric field versus falling time characteristics. As a result, the proposed liquid timer linearly adjusts the falling time from 1 minute to 6 minutes via electric field.
