Field observation of Urosphena squameiceps were made on the slopes of Mt. Fuji. The author gives detailed accounts of song and behavior during the breeding season containing 6 young was found on the ground in a small valley the 1st of June. Both parents fed young 43-53 times in a day with worms, locusts, spiders, etc. In a second nest found in a similar enviro-nment, the first egg was laid on the 21st of May and the sixth one on the 20th. Incubation, by the female alone, was begun the day theclutchwas completed. Three eggs measure 16.5×13 mm., two 16×12.5 mm. while another egg measures 17×12.5 mm. The inside of nestlings' mouth is deep yellow, and their down plumage is brownish grey.
