ジャーナル フリーWe tested about 3,600 Ryukyu's boys and girls by the Youth Fitness Test of American Association of Health, Physical Education and Recreation from April to June in 1959. The followings were founded: (1) In the tests of Shuttle Race, Standing Broad Jump, and Softball Throw for Distance, Japanese boys were superior to Ryukyu's one.(2) Ryukyu's boys were superior to Japanese boys in the test of Pull-ups. (3) We could not find the significant differences in the test results of Modified Pull-ups, Shuttle Race and Standing Broad Jump between Japanese and Ryukyu's girls, but the former was superior to the latter in 50 Yard Dash. (4) We did not compare the tests results of Sit-ups and 600 Yard Run-Walk between them because test methods were not same. Consequently, the factos of motor fitness developement may consist of their body constitutions and environmental situations sachas the facilities, teaching materials and methods in physical education, especially way of living so that we can not decide to choice only one factor of the developement in our motor fitness.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (897K) -

ジャーナル フリーIn order to prevent university students from disease and promote their health; it is very important for the person in charge of physical training to know the conditions of circulatory and respiratory function under physical exercise. Various studies of the circulatory and respiratory functions during and after exercise had been made, but none of them have been considered perfect. To study the condition of circulatory function, the E.C.G., blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration rate and oxygen intake were recorded before and after exercise at certain time intervals. "Master's 2-step test" was employed ; the subjeect steps up and down without any load, or carrying load on his back ; and the duration of time during which was applied, the speed of stepping and the weight of load were varied. In chapter (I) the degree of gxhaustion in energy metabolism is examined, and in (II), the E.C.G. after exercise is investigated, resulting in the establishment of a test suitable for men (and women) in nomal health.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (612K) -

ジャーナル フリーMany techniques of recording of bodily movements reported, up to date, offered diffrent technical and economic advantages in their use, but their difficalties offen prevented the advancements of this field. The analysis of bodily movements by Tracergram is reported in this paper. The beams of the lamps fixed on the fingertips, ankles and waists are taken on the same photographic plates. The two female students, well trained and untrained, are subjected to our experiment. ジャーナル フリーIn order to find a method of measuring mental health, a study was made on the relationship between students and their university environment, using an inventory devised for that purpose. The study included 418 college women of different school years. All the answers were checked and calculated for each of 35 items and also for each of ten areas. Their percentages were listed in Table 3, and served the basis for the ranking of areas and of items of the whole subjects in Tables 4 and 5. ジャーナル フリーA comparative study between group A (those who have attempt) among 999 of senior (second grade) boys and girls was conducted to investigate how such factors as personality, environment, are related to their suicidal attempts. In .the first report, emotional instability and social maladjustment were noticed in group A as to the personality difference, and no marked difference was discriminated as the environmental difference observed in family construction in this study. In the second report, there were some relations among environment, family status, personality and their suicidal attempts, but no relations with economical status of their family.
