In the chest radiography by using a tomography apparatus, the image are enlarged to be a little larger than the object. This was noticed by the authors, and the ratio of enlargement was increased in order to enlarge the image of the bone to be twice as large as the object. The images made in this enlargement radiography are found to be stfficient clinically as well as ones taken with another methods.
In function tests of thyroid gland by using radioistope, the greatest care is required to get correct results. Out of many problems of these function tests, the technical ones of the scintigram of thyroid gland were taken up and studied. In these studies, a scanning apparatus with Mac Intyre circuit was used. From these studies, the following were concluded. 1.The life-size image of the object in which radioisotope is distributed evenly is described in scintigram regardless of its radioactivity, only by using discharged pulse of the object of which from is proper. 2.In describing scintigram, the scattered X-ray on the patient does not increased only when a very thin collimator is used. Therefore, in these experiments, energy was cut off when the electron volt reached to some 50keV.
An absorption curve has often been used for the purpose of measuring X-ray quality. When a dosimeter of large quality dependence is used for measuring an absorption curve, the curve is different from what it is. The authors studied how to show absorption curve as it is, by using the correction factor of the dosimeter. From these studies the following were concluded : 1.The deviation included in the absorption curve depends on the form of the correction curve. 2.The fewer tangent there are in the absorption curve, the less difficult the correction is. 3.In order to correct more exactly, the X-ray quality should not be measured with half-value layer, but tangent in the absorption curve should be used for measuring energy. Moreover, many experiments showed that this correction is sufficient clinically.
Some studies on the radiography of the ulna neural groove have been reported. It, however, remains difficult to decide the best position of the patients and the direction of central rays.
