The method of X-Ray diagnosis utilizing over 100 kV has been revived in recentyears. The prinincipal characteristics of the high voltage are as follows : (1) To produce the same dosage-rate, a lower electrical and thermal load is required at higher voltage. (2) X-Rays produced with higher voltages have a greater penetrating power. (3) The radiation contrast between soft tissue and bones is in the case of high voltage radiography, less. (4) The scattered radiation of X-Rays passing through a body becomes greater with an increase in voltage. (5) The decrease in contrast due to scattered rodiation is kept down by means of high voltage grids or the Groedel technique. (6) Wide variations of thickness and density of the object to be radiographed are levelled off in high voltoge radiography. Therefore, The demand of the X-Ray apparatus for high voltoge radiography are increased. we describe our several X-Ray apparatus for high voltage radiography as follows : (1) X-Ray tubes and kenotrons. (2) KCD-J (Condenser Type). (3) KXO-12 (4) KXO-14 (5) KXO-20.

Generally, the high voltage condenser type X-ray apparatus has several advantages comparing with ordinary apparatus. These advantages are as follows : 1. Remarkable decrease of X-ray tube input in case of radiography. 2. Increase of degree of penetration. 3. Possibility of instantaneous radiography by applying wave tail chopping apparatus. Recently, by using three electrode X-ray tube, the following advantages can also be obtained, that is. 1. Reliability of the carriage. 2. Eliminating of ark discharge noise. 3. Reduction of charging time. This report has devoted to the description of the recent development of the condenser discharge type X-ray apparatus and it's controlling device.

The author made a study of intensifying screens for high voltage radiography and the following results were obtained. Ability of screens, sensitivity and sharpness, is under the control of tube voltage. In point of constitution of screens and character of X-ray tube, excellent screens in sensitivity ors harpness is apt to get practicably at high voltage. Therefore high voltage radiography is very profitable technique on manufacture of screens. And high voltage untill 140kVp is suitable, in this range calcium tungstate screens is the most appropriate.
