In this study, the aim was to clarify types of “MOHO” which emerge from second grade elementary school children during expressive play. Since expressive play has a characteristic of “turning completely into a subject”, this study focused on the viewpoint of imitation. In the experiment, children were shown the picture cards of animals and vehicles, and they were asked to make an improvisational turn into the subject. After the experiment, analysis of the movements of the imitation was followed, and the types of “MOHO” were examined.
The result indicated two types of “MOHO”; “Imitation of a subject” and “Imitation of others”. “Imitation of a subject” includes three types of imitations; “Imitation of a framework” in which children imitate the form of the subject only, “Exaggerated imitation” in which children exaggerate the characteristics of the subject, and “Original imitation” in which children express the subject beyond the actual feature in their own way. “Imitation of others” includes two types of imitations; “Mutual imitation” in which two or more children mutually imitating the subject’s movement, and “Reflective imitation” in which children take the other children’s movement into their own movement.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of participation in high school athletic club activities for the acquisition of life skills on students’ career maturity. Two hundred and sixty-five first year university students (199 students who had belonged to high school athletic clubs and 66 students who had not participated in any kind of club) participated in this study. An educational career maturity scale (Sakayanagi, 1992; 1993) was employed to evaluate the students’ career maturity. Both an athletic situational skills scale and a life skills scale (Ueno and Nakagomi, 1998) were used to evaluate the psychosocial skills of students in both their athletic club and school life.
The results of this study indicated that participation in high school athletic club activities had an indirect effect on career maturity through the acquisition of life skills (both interpersonal skills and intrapersonal skills), but did not have a direct influence on career maturity. Additionally, the acquisition of athletic situational skills had an indirect effect on career maturity through the acquisition of life skills, but did not have a direct effect on career maturity.
One possible explanation to consider is that participation in high school athletic club activities which develop life skills enhances the career maturity of students.

The purpose of this research creates the observation valuation basis of batting motion of the technical college students, and considers a difference of the movement observation capability of the physical education teachers and a general student, and it was clarifying the observation point of the batting motion which can be used by physical education classes.
3 physical education teachers and 15 high school students participated in this research. Evaluations were made to perform based on the created evaluation table at 30 persons' tee batting motion, statistical validity, objectivity, and reliability were calculate. The main results were as follows :
    1) It became clear in the physical education teachers and the general students that movement observation capability differs.
    2) Bat angle between leg motion at back swing phase and arm motion at follow through phase were able to propose as an observation point applicable also to a general student.
Thus, it is thought desirable to develop a class after clarifying the evaluation point which the general students can also observe, when tackling as contents of the lesson by movement observation in a physical education class.

The purpose of this study was to clarify practical knowledge of improving service skills to increase competitiveness level of table tennis players using sport sciences. The practice of sport science support has been ongoing for three years, focusing on players from 13 years to 18 years who belonged to the Japanese Olympic Committee elite academy team. Two experiments per year were conducted. A high-speed camera (1000Hz) was used to measure the rotation speed of the service ball and two normal speed cameras (30Hz) were used to measure players’ movements. A meeting was held on the day after each experiment to discuss the results, during which each player, his/her coach, and staff who analyzed the experimental data clarified the technical challenges for the player. 9 male players and 7 female players participated at least once in both the experiments and the meetings during the 3-year period. The main results were as follows. 1) Range of rotation speed for the male players’ services was from 35.7rps to 83.3rps, and that of the female players’ services was from 16.4rps to 66.7rps. No-spin services were not included in these
