In order to explain the experimental fact gained about the influence of the strain at the outer fixed point of the hairspring, reported in the part II, the author tried the theoretical analysis under the condition that the outer terminal of the spiral hairspring is fixed only by the stud.
The results of the analysis are as follows:
1) In the case of the direction of the eccentricity perpendicular or nearly perpendicular to the direction from the centr to the stud, the strain does scarcely influence upon the variation of the balance oscillation period in accordance with the amplitude.
2) In the case of the direction of the eccentricity same with or contrary to the stud direction, that influece is the largest and in these two directions the influence is reversed.
Also he added the experiments under the same condition with the analysis, and confirmed the above results.
