External fixation is an effective method for the treatment of severe septic condition requiring arthrodesis in small hand bones. We described a report of four cases of septic arthritis and infected nonunion, which were treated with external fixation using Kirschner wire (K-wire)/half pin and methylmethacrylate. Resolution of infection and solid bony fusion was achieved in all cases. This method is simple, easy to apply, and less costly than other methods.
