In order to obtain precise figure of merits of thermoelectric materials, a simple measurement method with a film-type thermocouple sensor which can measure the thermoelectric properties simultaneously, such as Seebeck coefficient, electrical resistivity, and thermal diffusivity was developed. In this report, feasibility of the proposed method and the film sensor were evaluated by measuring thermoelectric properties of a constantan as a reference material at a room temperature. Temperature dependences of thermoelectric properties were also measured. The measurement results showed good agreement with reference values.

The gas solubility in pure solvents was an important data in design of chemical plants such as absorption tower, oil industry and others. At our laboratory, development and improvement of measurement apparatus for gas solubility to liquid have been performed. Solubility of oxygen was determined in 15 pure solvents. Gas solubility measurements were carried out at 298.2K and 101.3kPa. The solubility has been expressed as Ostwald coefficient of gas dissolved. In the results of gas solubility measurements, reproducibility of Ostwald coefficient was ±0.54% on the average for 15 pure solvents. Average deviation between observed and literature gas solubility was 1.36%. Standard uncertainty of Ostwald coefficient by measurement was 1.21×10-3 on the average for 15 pure solvents.
