It is a well known fact through literatures that there is a functional relationship between various disease symptom complexes and sympathetic nervous system, and although the disharmony or the disfunction of the sympathetics is not a causal factor of the diseases, the correction of the disintegrated function using procaine hydrochloride invites the relief or improvement at tnose symptom complexes.
To invesigate the action of procaine hydrochloride on scalds on rabbit's ear, the author have made the experiments with rabbits treated with 70°C. hot water for 5 minutes on their ears to figure out 1) the influence of procaine hydrochloride on the lesion.2) the amounts of effective, non-effective and toxic doses,3) the route of administration preferred to gain better effect, and 4) the frequency of the administration of the drug.
The results obtained are as follows:
    1) Procaine therapy on scalds on rabbit's ear favors to prolong the formation of thrombi in affected vessels, and save the tissue from necrosis.
    2) The action of procaine hydrochloride on scalds on rabbit's ear differs by the route of its administration. Intravenous administration of the drug is most effective than local block or sympathetic ganglion block.
    3) There is no peculiar difference in its effectiveness among those to which the procaine therapy is performed immediately after and six hours after the scalds. Those, however, to which procaine therapy is instituted twelve hours after the scalds shows less effectiveness in saving the affected tissue from necrosis. Repeated injection every twenty-four and seventytwo hour intervals does not influence to the disease process.
    4) Effective dose of procaine hydrochloride on scalds on rabbit's ear shows 4-6mg., non-effective dose less than 2mg. and toxic dose 18.1-33.2 mg. per kilogram of body weight in average when administered intravenously.

The length of working for a total number of 2,310 “direct” miners employed since 1954in the Changsung Mining Office has been investigated. It has been found that more than 65 per cent of the miners leave the job within 5 years and the median duration remaining in the job is merely 3.1 years. It should be noted that a high force of “loss” of miners is observed within half a year and after 3 years of employment.
The major causes for leaving the job within 3 years may be attributed to disciplinary dismiss and other reasons of the enterpriser and after 3 years to accident and personal reasons.
When considered by age groups, those oldest and youngest groups show the poorest picture, while over half of the miners employed at the age groups of 25-29 remained in the job even after 5.5 years of employment, having the longest working life expectancy among all the age groups.
As the type of job is not fixed for each miner, thoe working life according to the type at the time of employment does not provide a sound ground for evaluation. However, generally speaking, the coal-pickers show very poor degree of remaining as compared with others.
Those illiterate and with high education quickly drop out of the job.
Those with previous experience in mining remain in the job longer than those without previous experience, when considered all cause of leaving, but the reverse is true when the cause of accident is considered only.

For the purpose to relate the local administrative plan for tuberculosis to periodical school mass examination using discaverd tuberculous children as index cases, the trial to find out and administer latent patients in their family was made.
This trial also resulted in causing the interest of P. T. A. menbers and those who work for school health to local health activity.
The rate of tuberculosis patients in those families having tuberculosis children was 12% 41% of them were newly found in this investigation and 59% of them were parents of those children.

A 7-year 8-month old boy was seen at Kori Hospital, Kansai Medical School, Osaka on July 21,1959. He was with pericarditis due to a strain of Staphylococcus aureus which was resistant against Pc, SM and TC, comparatively resistant against CM, and sensitive to EM, OM and KM.
Following 4 pericardiac punctures and administrations of EM, KM and predonisolone he was completely cured.

In 2 cases with WPW syndrome, several leads of ECG were taken and stimulus conductingtime was messured. The results were as follows.
In both cases, the pattern of the excitation conduction in the auricle was normal and the sinus node was proved to be the pace-maker of the cardiac rhythm.
Pre-excitation which occured in the posterior wall base of the left ventricle were observed in both cases.
It could not be clarified that the generation mechanism of pre-excitation of these cases was caused by whether the presence of accessory pathway or the stimulus conducting disturbances, the functional instability or an accelerated conduction of stimuli in A-V node.
