ジャーナル フリーSerum hexokinase (HK) activity was studied on 231 cases of digestive diseases consisting of chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastric cancer, bile duct and gall bladder diseases, acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, liver cancer and diabetes mellitus. Serum HK activity was determined in rats with CCl4hepatic disturbances, common bile duct ligation, regenerating liver and experimental hepatomas. Concurrently serum aldolase (ALD), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), isocitric dehydrogenase (ICD), leucine aminopeptidase (LAP), phosphohexose isomerase (PHI), β-glucuronidase (βG), GOT, GPT, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activities in human cases were determined; the zymogram of hexokinase was made of the hepatic tissues of healthy and experimental hepatomas of rats and of the tissue of human hepatic tumor cases.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (7545K) -

ジャーナル フリーPart 1: Adrenocorticolytic effects of derivatives of Benz[a]anthracene For the controls,1-3 ml of Lipomul without dextrose of Upjohn Co., mixed with Dimethylsulfoxide in rate of 5-9 volume percentage, was used. Various doses of each home-made lipid emulsions containing 7 derivatives of Benz[a]anthracene, respectively, was injected into a caudal vein of young adult female Sprague-Dawley rats. The dose of the derivatives examined were as follows: 7-Methylbenz [a] anthracene (0.25%,3ml),7-Methy1-12-hydroxymethylbenz[a]anthracene (0.25%,3ml),7,12-Dimethylbenz [a] anthracene (DMBA,0.1-0.5%,0.8-3ml),7-Hydroxymethyl-12-methylbenz[a]anthracene (7-OHMe-12-Me-BA,0.1-0.2%,1-3ml),7-Ethyl-12-methylbenz[a]anthracene (0.5%,3ml),7-n-Propyl-12-methylbenz [a] anthracene (0.5%,3-5ml),12-Methylbenz [a] anthracene (0.5%,3ml). These compuunds were dissolved in Lipomul without dextrose at the ratio of w/v indicated as above mentioned by means of our method. The induction rate of adrenal apoplexy on the survivals more than 30 hours after the intravenous injections was compared macroscopically from each others. For the adrenocorticolytic effect,7-OHMe-12-Me-BA is most potent. The hydroxylation of methyl-group in 7-position of Benz[a]anthracene promotes the action, and the substitution to the methyl-group inhibits the action. However, either the hydroxylation or the substitution of methyl-group in 12position of the hydorocarbon eliminates the effect. The lack of each or both of methylgroups in 7-and 12-positions of Benz[a]anthracene abolish also the adrenocorticolytic action.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (9357K) -

ジャーナル フリーTo investigate the common early morphologic changes in the 3 models of fatty livers, which were induced with the intravenous injection of artificial lipid emulsion, Fatgen of Dainihon Pharma. Co., and by the intraperitoneal administration of either ethionine or carbon tetrachloride, respectively, the livers of the rats received with these treatments were observed ultrastructurally at the serial intervals after each single chalange. Especially, electron-histochemical observations on lipids (triglyceride esters and phospholipids) and the related enzymes (thiol-esterase and glucose-6-phosphatase) were performed on their livers. Light-microscopic histochemical observations on lipoprotein reactions, sudanophilias, metachromasia of Nile blue sulfate, specific reactions for phospholipids, cholesterols or fatty acids, Tween 60 lipase, thiol-esterase and the other esterases, glucose-6-phosphatase and the other phosphatases, and β-hydroxybutylic dehydrogenase and the other dehydrogenases were also applied to their livers.
Histochemical demonstrations for triglycer ide esters and phospholipids were established on both ordinary sections and ultrathin sections, by means of specific enzyme-digestive methods. Purified porcine pancreatic lipase was applied to the reaction for triglyceride esters (TGE-reaction), and snake venom phospholipase was done to the reaction for phospholipids (PL-reaction). ジャーナル フリーThe development of the retinal pigment epithelum and Bruch's membrane of the albino rat was studied with electron microscope from 14th fetE1 day to 10th postnatal day. The development of the pigment epithelium is classified into the following three stages.
(I) Early stage (14th to 18thfetal day). The pigment epithelium is high cuboidal form and in the cytoplasm. there are lage numbers of free ribosomes and a small nunber of rough endoplasmic reticulum.
(II) Intermediate stage (19th fetal day to 4th postnatal day). The pigment epithelium has gradually flattened and rough endoplasmic reticulum increased in number and size. Simultaneously, a small number of the smooth endoplasmic reticulum gradually appeared. In the apical cytoplasm, lage number of premelanosomes are developed.
(III) Late stage (5th to 10th postnatal day). The cytoplasm is mostly filled with vesicular or tubular smooth endoplasmic reticulum, on the contrary, freeribosomes and rough endoplasmic reticulum relatively dicreased, and premelanosomes began to break down. At the same time, both basal infoldings and microvilli are well formed. At this stage, morphological characteristics of active transport and metaborismus will be performed. The lamellated inclusion body of the pigment epithelium appeared 10th postnatal day, which was just after the formation of rod outersegment.
In Bruch's membrane, five layers are identified, which are formed in the following order. The basement membrane of the pigment epithelium was already formed on 14th fetal day. The collagenous layer and the basement membrane of the choriocapillary endothelium began to form on 19th fetal day, bit the later did not become continuous basement membrane until about 4th postnatal day. The elastic lamina on 5th postnatal day, and collagenous layer was dividing into outer and inner portion.
The mature structural characteristics of the pigment epithel ium and Bruch's membrane as revealed in this observation were formed 10th postnatal day.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (10554K) -
