Anti-Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) reactivity was studied on the sera of dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) patients in Burma. In the neutralization test (NT) using tissue cultured cell, out of 33 sera,21 showed positive to JEV and remaining 12 were negative. Among the positive sera,13 showed a definite increase to a rise of four fold or more between acute and convalescent phase of DHF.
Antibody cross reacti vity between group B arboviruses was discussed with some references. The reason of lower incidence of anti JEV NT titer in the present report compared to the other's was also discussed.
